The Council of 17 brings in the voice of the next generation.

SDG Student Ambassadors from the University of Curaçao.
Council of 17 is a student-led body organized around the five SDG pillars (People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership). The ambassadors work on translating the social development Goals into action on campus and in the community around them.
Because the next generation shouldn't wait for a seat at the table, they should help build it. The council exists so Curaçao's youth have a direct, structured voice in shaping the island's sustainable future.
SDG Ambassadors, no individual ambassador but together as all.
At school the SDGs give shape to projects, research, and collaboration At work ambassadors build skills employers actually look for like networking, leadership, project ownership, and working across disciplines. In personal life the goals become a lens for daily choices, shifting sustainability from an abstract idea to something they actually live.

Youth have a core position in the governance.
The Council of 17 is a core part fo the governance model of club17.
Every decision made by the council of advice first has to go through the ambassadors so they can give their input on any changes they would like to make or how the decision effects the youth of Curacao.
For Curaçao, this means initiatives are shaped with the people who will live longest with their consequences. For the youth involved, it means real responsibility: ambassadors practice leadership, accountability, and collaborative decision-making.
